Tracks such as Fix It and Cobwebs as well as the ever powerful Magik display the strength and cohesive nature of the cardinals and their music over their 4 albums spiel. Strong riffs, winding solos and vocal melodies which ingrain within the listeners head make the album most unforgettable. The acoustic offerings most notably Crossed Out Name reward fans of old with more of Adams’ alt country crooning with mostly simple structures and effortlessly beautiful vocal offerings.

Cardinology manages to please the ears, mind and heart and yet disappoints die hard fans who now face the sobering reality of the coming hiatus and possibly a vault of music being locked far too soon.

However the writer in Adams thankfully has not been shut down forever and I am eagerly awaiting his metamorphic release of collected writings coming later this year.
